That's a pretty impressive list! Interested to see Arrival on there. Saw them once in Birmingham. They had a song 'I will survive', Great lyrics which I can still remember (all three verses!)
I also remember playing at 'The Midnight'! Heady days indeed.
That's weird as I've just met up with Dave Sexy! after nearly 25 years. He used to be the drummer in Apres Ski after Nick Buckle. Have you ever worked out how much all those tickets cost you over the years!? Hope you've still got them?

Oliver....... it has been too long and I promised before but now I really must pull my finger out and send you all the odds & sods that I have from a period that you either booked (As in The Skavengers...... me playing drums) or went to see

Please forward your address and force me to do what I said I would do before..... such as sending you a cd of the Local Hero's of the late 70's early 80's......

I also send personal thanks for all that you did or tried to do......
I have fond memories of 'Thieves Like Us' and think we might have even done the support spot...... just about the time they decided to split (b'mth above the car park... was it the roof top or something?) Fir Vale Road B'mth...... Sorry I'm old and a lot of water has passed out of my bladder since then :) ....... still playing though if you book bands :) ..... ;)

All the best

Blimey, I think you're me...
A high number of gigs between 1975 and 1980 on Portsmouth, Southampton, Gosport, Winchester, Poole, etc., etc., you were obviously stalking me.
I worked the stage at Portsmouth Poly, Portsmouth Guildhall, etc., from 1973 until 1987 when I went north, young man...
Great to see such a gig list, reminding me of those years; your comments often spot on to...

Phew Oliver, I'm bloody well exhausted after that trawl through "my back pages" I'm really surprised that you remember squat about Freedy Johnson, he's very good and would have thought right up your street.

Nice to see Mike Cotton Sound with Lucas mentioned in the early gigs section, a truly great UK soul band who never got to milk it like Geno et al. I also went to that Gene Parsons gig on Southsea Pier, what a strange location but surely no stranger than the Darden Smith gig in a Thai restaurant, wish I had seen that one, I like Darden a lot.

Noticed that you are a big Eitzel fan, AMC played the Mean Fiddler a lot in the 7 years I worked there. I have a nice collection of cd singles with a lot of "unreleased tracks" If you want 'em, you've got it, would be good to see them go to a good home.

Thanks for the read, very entertaining. Happy New Year to you and Birgit.
